The Courses

Two championship layouts, side by side

Cobram Barooga Golf Club is one of the largest golf complexes in the country — two distinct 18-hole courses set among native bushland on the banks of the Murray. Planning a wider golfing trip? Browse every championship course within an easy drive in our local guide.

Course One

The Old Course

The original layout — a traditional, tree-lined parkland course that rewards accuracy off the tee. Mature gums frame every fairway and small greens demand a confident short game.

Course Two

The West Course

The newer of the two — wider fairways, dramatic bunkering and bigger, more contoured greens. A modern resort-style layout that suits players of every standard.

Local tips from the front desk

Twenty years of golfing guests, distilled into four pieces of advice we wish every visitor knew.

01

Book early in autumn

March, April and May are peak conditions — and peak demand. Book your stay six to eight weeks ahead for the dates you want.

02

Mid-week is magic

Tuesday and Wednesday rounds give you the courses almost to yourself. Quieter, faster pace, better tee times available.

03

Bring layers

The Murray runs cool in the mornings even in summer. A light jumper for the first nine holes is always a good call.

04

Stay an extra night

Make a long weekend of it. Add a third night to wind down by the river — most guests wish they had.
